Parachute

This is my brother with his "parachute". Was folded into a shoebox attached to his back. His "release cord" was a string tied to the showbox lid which would pop off when pulled :D .

Swimming Lessons (and School Principles)

Swimming Lessons

I'm in the red. This was our local school swimming pool. School only had 3 classes but my brother and I were moved from there when I was 6-7. The parents in our neighbourhood fell out with the Principle (thats his house in the background).

The only time in my life I've ever seen my Father drunk was a night he came home after drinks with said Principle. Picture Father sitting on the end of a stool putting on his shoes to come home. Principle at other end. Father stands up, stool flips and Principle hits the dirt. Our horror at seeing one Father in such fine state (sprawled on our front porch, yes, he drove home while barely able to walk) was defintiely made up for by the image, as described by Dad, of our Principle face planted in his flowers :D.

We loved this wagon. It could take us anywhere! Oh the adventures...
